A MESSAGE FOR OUR MEMBERS

Avalon Soccer Club is a 100% volunteer run club, trying to provide the best possible experience for over 1200 members.
We are at that time of the year where grading results are handed down, teams are formed and divisions selected. All of these undertakings – and many more – are done by volunteer age coordinators, registrars and VPs. It’s not an easy job and it’s always done with the best intentions of the club and the players at heart, but occasionally difficult decisions have to be made.
Whilst there may be disappointment over a particular team placement or division allocation, it’s important to not lose sight of why we play football.
Abusing our club volunteers, making unrealistic demands of them, or delivering ultimatums is not on. They are doing this in their own time for your child.
We are here to serve every member of our incredible community, and offer them the best possible

Our vision is to develop every player’s skill technically, tactically and physically. Our club also aims to equip our players with the vital life skills such as commitment, discipline, respect and perseverance. These qualities will assist our young footballers in all aspects of life.
We continually strive for excellence in all aspects of our club – playing, coaching, administration and social areas – to make our club amongst the very best. Our aim is to provide an opportunity for people to participate in a community club in a safe, friendly and family-oriented environment. Grading forms an important step in achieving

A MESSAGE FROM THE CLUB

To all our Avalon Soccer Club members
I hope everyone is safe and well, and managing to cope with this extended lockdown, the 3rd in the last 18 months that we have experienced here in Avalon.
This has been an incredibly challenging time for everyone in the community and everyone involved with the club. We all hoped that restrictions would ease to the point that we’d be able to complete the season. However it was not to be.
As the curtains close on our 2021 season I wanted to extend a thank you to our fantastic managers, knowledgeable coaches, generous sponsors, tireless volunteers and the positive and determined attitude of our players. From our juniors to our senior teams and everyone in between, the attitude, mindset and competitive spirit within our Avalon community has been second to none.
All 2021 players will have received an email from MWFA confirming that 2022 fees will be

2021 SEASON ABANDONED

Please see below official communication from the MWFA. We thank all our members for their patience during these difficult times and we hope everyone stays safe and we can return bigger than ever in 2022.

Dear Registered 2021 MWFA Players, officials and referees,

Firstly, the MWFA Board and staff, our 17 Clubs and the MWFRA sincerely hope that you are all keeping safe, healthy and happy throughout this Pandemic that continues to challenge us all.

This season, despite the challenges of 2020, saw our player number grow to 19,865 players, an increase of 1,400 players, which is an all-time record. However, the reality is that the current lockdown orders are in place until August 28 at the earliest. Even if the NSW Government was to end the lockdown on that date, indications from Football NSW are that the NSW Government will (quite rightly) follow last year’s plan in easing restrictions in a staggered
