A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT

To all our Avalon Soccer Club members, I hope everyone is safe and well, and enjoying the off-season.
On the back of two challenging years of Covid, this year we had to endure the wettest football season that I could remember. Everyone involved with the club and the community have been very resilient and patient. We are all hoping for a bigger, better and dryer 2023!
Now that the curtains have closed on our 2022 football season, I wanted to extend a thank you to our fantastic managers, knowledgeable coaches, generous sponsors, tireless volunteers and the positive and determined attitude of our players. From our juniors to our senior teams and everyone in between, the attitude, mindset and competitive spirit within our Avalon community has been second to none.
A special mention to all our sponsors starting with our major sponsor LJ Hooker, Brown Bros Skip Bins, Besteam Sport, 3D Automation, Lejen Marine,

A MESSAGE FROM THE CLUB

To all our Avalon Soccer Club members
I hope everyone is safe and well, and managing to cope with this extended lockdown, the 3rd in the last 18 months that we have experienced here in Avalon.
This has been an incredibly challenging time for everyone in the community and everyone involved with the club. We all hoped that restrictions would ease to the point that we’d be able to complete the season. However it was not to be.
As the curtains close on our 2021 season I wanted to extend a thank you to our fantastic managers, knowledgeable coaches, generous sponsors, tireless volunteers and the positive and determined attitude of our players. From our juniors to our senior teams and everyone in between, the attitude, mindset and competitive spirit within our Avalon community has been second to none.
All 2021 players will have received an email from MWFA confirming that 2022 fees will be

ONLINE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

With thanks to our major partner LJ Hooker we are delighted to release an online coaching/development program for our junior players to stay active and hone their skills during lockdown.
While our plans this year have been disrupted we believe it’s vitally important for the kids to keep learning the skills and continuing their development.
We’d love to showcase some of our players and their skills across our socials! Send your videos in your Dev Squad or Avalon gear into media@avalonsoccerclub.com.au or tag us on Facebook or Instagram!
You can access the training plan here.
The videos referenced in the document can be found here.

2021 SEASON ABANDONED

Please see below official communication from the MWFA. We thank all our members for their patience during these difficult times and we hope everyone stays safe and we can return bigger than ever in 2022.

Dear Registered 2021 MWFA Players, officials and referees,

Firstly, the MWFA Board and staff, our 17 Clubs and the MWFRA sincerely hope that you are all keeping safe, healthy and happy throughout this Pandemic that continues to challenge us all.

This season, despite the challenges of 2020, saw our player number grow to 19,865 players, an increase of 1,400 players, which is an all-time record. However, the reality is that the current lockdown orders are in place until August 28 at the earliest. Even if the NSW Government was to end the lockdown on that date, indications from Football NSW are that the NSW Government will (quite rightly) follow last year’s plan in easing restrictions in a staggered
