Women’s football in 2019 is thriving, particularly at Avalon SC. But today we want to take you back fifteen years to 2004, where a pretty special group of girls first started to love this beautiful sport. This is a story about six women who, together with many others, have made a significant contribution to female football at our club – Molly and Naomi Woods, Eliza and Kerry McEwan, Emily McGainand and Ella Smith.

The Avalon Piranhas started as an all-girl team in the mixed U6 MWFA Competition.
